Credit Where It Is Due

Credit Where It is Due

I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Reflected Sky

In the previous post I showed How to Change a Tractor Tire.
The same day I took those shots, I captured this.
I think the reflected sky is more interesting than the real one!

wow, I just love everything about this photo. perhaps it's because I love tractors and grew up around them, but no, I think it's because it's a truly great shot! happy day to you Dimple.

Excellent! I really like the sky reflected in glass or water. It always looks more vivid.

The closeup of the tractor is pretty darn interesting too.

Very nice reflection. That is one huge tractor! I am amazed at how much farm machinery costs these days. The tractors and combines are soooo expensive--I wonder how farmers make a profit sometimes. Thanks goodness they are out there working from sunrise to sunset. Have a great weekend. Mickie :)

great capture of reflection
such a contrast between the grounded force of a tractor and the etherly feel of the sky

i know from my own experience that a lot of people out there are google searching for tractor photos...this will be sure to attract them

Very nice...reflected imagines often make the best shots.

I like how the sky seems to bleed or flow right into the tractor window.

BLESSED BE THE SKY

Cloudy, clear,
Bright or drear—
Blessed be the sky!

Sun and star,
Near or far—
Blessed be the sky!

Rain or snow,
Sunset glow—
Blessed be the sky!

Wind or calm,
Healing balm—
Blessed be the sky!

I agree! Sometimes the reflections are more intriguing than the reality.

Terrific capture, Dimple! I, too, think the reflection of the sky is even lovelier than the sky itself! Beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
