My husband and I were at Koocanusa again, but the kokanee weren't biting too well as most of them were preparing to spawn. The weather was unsettled, to say the least. This first picture shows a front moving in, waves of clouds in the ocean of air.
Next we saw the rain. Those white ridges and peaks are getting wet! The squall line was moving our direction, and when WE started getting really wet, we headed in.
Half an hour later we reached the dock--in the sunshine. We took a break at camp.
This shows the sun, shining through yet more rain. It was beautiful; very shiny and wet.
Then I turned around. . .
So although we didn't catch many fish this trip, it was certainly worth the time!

What a marvelous rainbow, - it must have given you a great deal of pleasure.
You can see it coming.
Those last two shots are just wonderful. I love the light through the trees and that little tree shadow and then the rainbow - terrific shot!
Cool capture of the rainbow, you don't get to see them every day. Looks like you had a great day out but when the weather turns, it sure does bring interesting skies.
I love the second cloud-and-rain photo especially - and what a peculiar and beautiful rainbow! I hope you dried off quickly :)
I think your photos are lovely. They put me TIGHT THERE. thanks, and have a beautiful day!
Beautiful rainbow, but I love the prelude, too. What a picturesque storm!
Aamzing skies.
That rainbow is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. Great capture!
That second from last is such a beautiful capture! And I love the moodiness in the first shots. The closest I've ever been to the end of a rainbow was when one started in my neighbour's garden. I'd have loved to have gone over and tried to stand in it :)
You just have to love this shot of a rainbow. Wonderful capture. Your heart must have sung to see it! Thanks so much for visiting my scenic shot of a forest walk.
A once in a lifetime shot - a rainbow through the tree! Wow, amazing - that's all I can say:)
Fishing & great scenery - what a package!!
