Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

That is a great puzzle! I'll have to work on this for a bit! Hope your weekend is going well, Dimple! Enjoy!

OH, NO! It's a Cliffhanger! I have to wait until Tuesday?!!!! I'll be holding my breath...getting blue...
I'm guessing a bulldozer blade. Unless of course it is a railroad rail. The number of possibilities that exist from a massive piece of rusty steel is probably high. Keep 'em guessing I say!
It looks like a railway tie and spike but I have no idea why there's barbed wire.
I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's a bulldozer blade.
;-)
I'll have to wait 'n see.
Wow, I guess I am not too imaginative. It looks broken??? Thanks for visiting today, I appreciate it. Joan
It does look a bit like railroad related. The spike sure does. I'm going to guess that the spike "hinges" the heavy steel (or iron) bar on one side and that bar will fit onto a solid "keeper" on the other side of the door or gate as a bar to secure same.
Well I've no idea what a bulldozer blade looks like so wouldn't guess that. It looks like something is hooked on the fence under the wire - maybe it is an old bench.
I have no clue!
I vote for the railroad spike, my kinda rusty shot!!!
curiously beautiful no matter what, I love aging things and people, so many stories to tell:)
I know this is a post but what is nailed on that post? Like that shot! Happy Sunday!

No idea. Geeze, the security word is longer than my comment!
Paulie-I've noticed that they've gotten longer...thanks for the chuckle!
This is good...and hard.... :)
Railroad related seems to fit given you cross train tracks a lot but the barbed wire doesn't fit. The part that looks broken looks claylike and not ideal for trains.
I'll come back Tuesday or with a better guess when Hubs is awake. :)
I have no idea. :)
Happy MYM.
I played too. Mine is here.
I'm back again. Hubs says it is a railroad tie and the clay looking part is what the rail sits in held by the pin. He doesn't understand the barbed wire other than to say perhaps someone is using the tie upright as a fencepost. :)
looks great but I dont know, but.....as I live in Sweden it might not look the same here ;-) anyway the guess for railroad things gets my wote!

Makes a great photo whatever it is.
I vote for a closed gate.
PS Thank you for the comment - luckily we don't have to wear face masks. it is the aircrafts that face the dangers.
It's a spike...a large nail!
Here's My Macro Come visit and view if you have some time in your busy day, as I love tons of company at Hootin' Anni's!!!
It's a giant lock on the gate!
I am not good in puzzle...Happy MYM!
Mine is here
Great shot on ???
Have no clue !
Looks to me like a home-made gate latch! I'll be back to check!
I love puzzles - as you can see by my entry! ;)
Oh, what a fun post... I'll have to come back and see the answer!
Well, I'm a little early for some, it's still Monday here! But the gold star goes to Carletta and her hubs. This is a detail of a gate post in a barbed wire fence. The post is a repurposed railroad tie. You can see the whole thing in my post for That's My World,

For some reason there's a railroad spike in that fence, lol.
Yes, it does look like a railroad spike, but why is it there like that? Great puzzle!
