Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.
This week's theme is "Kitchen."
It's a great theme for winter in northern Idaho!

Dimple, Appalachian Dream just came back online today, after a lengthy break. I enjoyed the quiet, but returning is fun, too!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful insight into blogging...for pointing out the flipside. Yes, I, too, have noticed that I see more details around me when looking for beauty to share. Thanks for reminding me.
Have to check out this meme! We do have snow in our western mountains in NC. Pretty much like being in New England due to the elevation of 4-6000 feet.
I loved a view of you Kitchen. And I love to sit in others kitchens, whether to watch and chat, enjoy a cup of whatever. It seems to speak a warmth and love.
As mentioned in my last blog I am still figuring out the WW new program and was delayed two days worth of info due to some kind of malfunction with their program or my laptop. or maybe both!.
The simplest of commands finally got it going again: it is call RESTART. I usually let my computer sleep, not hibernate.
