No other adjustments were made.
This second one was first converted to sepia, and then to black & white.
I like them both, which do you prefer?

Hi Dimple. I prefer the first image though the second one is good too. The contrast makes the first more dramatic. It reminds me of what you can do with a red contrast filter and B&W film. The sky is nearly black yet the clouds retain their textures and tones. Nice work!
Both good, but I prefer the first. I really like contrast, and I love the clouds against the sky.
The second one...it's softer and has more detail in the poles.
They are both fine, but I prefer the second one.The lighter tone is what draws me to it. All photos with strong linear qualities like these are so appealing to me.

I prefer the first for the stronger contrast. But I love this picture! It makes me think of windmills, swirling the clouds.

I like the softer second one. It's like it is reaching up to become one with the sky.
What an interesting exercise, Dimple, with both images preferred by your visitors. It's a superb find, and I join the contrast and drama people in choosing the first image.
Wonderful to look up from this angle. Think nr 2 is my favorite.

Clever! I like the stronger contrast of the first one.
I like the extra contrast in #1 over #2, but I might prefer it toned down a little -- perhaps something between the two versions. Anyway, looking here and below, it's an interesting structure. Also, that's quite a dry environment in the above post but quite lovely in its own way.
