Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Told ya. These are excellent in B&W Dimple. Nice work. I can tell you're having fun.
Well done Dimple...the warming I mean. Similar to using a warm toned paper in the wet darkroom.
I loved this shot when you posted it in color; I like it in back and white just as well. Both have their own personalities and are both so appealing to the eye. Genie
Excellent photos.
I like your choice for black and white.
Regards!
Yup, works in color and in monochrome, Dimple. I like lighting and the composition on both.
I remember the colour shot and now I can't decide if I like b&w better...
Love the play of shadow and light on the chain link . . . thanks for sharing . . .
Symbolic and strong pictures, suitable for black and white.
I love your links - I took shots of links and used them for posts on permalinks (WordPress settings).
wonderful b/w photos. I like the shadow in nr 2 very well.
The second one is just lovely with the shadow playing along the pole.
Hello ! Thank you very much for stopping by on my blog ! As for your questions: the bottels are bees traps, there is a hole on the bottom and you put some water and sugar to attract bees. But in my case, my Mom puts them only for decoration in summer :-). Also, the drop of water is a bee but it isn't showing well in my picture...
I love your shot, esp. the close up ! Your pictures are always amazing yet so simple :-). Have a great week !
Love this in black and white. I love the light and shadow and pattern. I just love it.
There's something mighty about the loops in the chain; it doesn't show up in the soft shadow though.
No doubt, the B/W tones have a lot to do with the dramatic effects of the pictures.
Outstanding textures and shadows
The textures and patterns are excellent!
Hi Dimple,
You always have the coolest ideas. I try to guess what you'll think up next, but I'm wrong every time.
You have an excellent eye for beauty in unusual places.
Great job.
David/ :-)
BTW: I added you to my blog roll today. Thanks for being such a good friend.
