Credit Where It Is Due

Credit Where It is Due

I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Black and White Reflection

I had to take some time from everything else and share a photo.
This is a seasonal creek on our property, up on the hill.
I walk to it now and then.
I was up there with Ginger recently, and found a little water running.
This is a very small pool, but not much water is needed to make a fine reflection!

It's always nice to take a walk to a body of water, no matter how small. I like the black and white pic.

It's hard to work out scale - but I feel I am looking into a hole and see the sky. It's as if there's a message there.

The smaller, the better.
As usually, your picture's a treat.

I'm always fascinated by those little creeks and ponds displaying reflections of the sky, sun, and surrounding nature elements in their water.

Love this shot. Isn’t it nice having a creek on the property. Of course, ours is in the front yard with the “Bridge to Somewhere” going over it. Sometimes it can really get LOW, but right now it is carrying a good bit or water. This is such a nice capture. Very woodsy looking. genie

Nice B&W. I don't often work in B&W. Reflections are more difficult I B&W I think. The walk by a stream is nice anytime.
