Credit Where It is Due

I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Reflections Can Be Strange!

This was taken last August a short way from home. When I first saw it, I wondered what it was. I have cropped out as much of the context as possible....What do you see?

That has got to be a water reflection. It looks a bit like a wolf to me. Excellent shot!

I don't have any idea, but it looks possibly like a reflection off water onto metal.

Looks like a hawk plunging to earth. Great shot.

Unique reflection of light. As to what it's from, I have no idea.

I am thinking it is a reflection off a shimmering pool of water -- perhaps a small pond or birdbath? What it ultimately is, is intriguing!

I think the sun is shining on a pool of water and the light is shining on the garage. :)

Dimple: I think I see an elephant from the eyes and the trunk in front.

I would say it was a reflection of the sun from a not quite still puddle of water onto a wooden wall. Or the wall may be catching fire? :-)

It looks very woody to me but wouldn't know what was being reflected.

Strange but very cool. That is really neat.

It is obviously a scrunched up hand but before I realised this....... I saw a horrible wizened old man with a hooked nose!

Nuts in May

This is an intriguing shot. My first thought wss that it was a dancer. But what is causing the reflection? I have no idea. Kathy

I could have sworn I left a comment here and came back to see what was reflecting.
I see large mouthed fish on the side of this 'building'. Not sure what the glimmery light is reflecting off of.
