Credit Where It is Due

I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

March Sky-The Lion is Coming!

What can I say? March was mild. Unseasonably mild. This was the sky on the 30th at my house. Two days later winter made a come-back, and is still trying to make everyone believe that the March weather was a dream.

Yes, weatherwise, witner has returned here also. What happened to the early spring and those early blooming flowers? Good thing I captured soem with camera or no one would believe me.

The norther climes in which we reside have a give and take personality, especially in late March - early April. Change is the name of their game. However, a four-season climate still has us waiting for Spring weather these days, even if briefly. The sky is glorious here!

I love this shot. All imagery floats so nicely back and forth. Light as a feather!

It looks like it might be a lion getting ready to eat a fluffy poodle - or something.

We had some really mild weather in March, and then snow on the ground yesterday morning and frost this morning. The green, green grass. It's definitely spring!
