Credit Where It Is Due

Credit Where It is Due

I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

This wire form is elegant, the style just perfect for any hanging item - the shape accents flora well, the beautiful design perfect for accenting a porch or veranda. Nice view, and congrats on the 200!

Dimple....Thanks sommuch for your vaisit to my blog. Because of that visit, you now have a new follower. Your photography is beautiful. This sun catcher shot is especially appealing to me because I am fascinated by line and arcs in architecture and nature. The top metal section in contrast to the chain caught my eye immediately. The way you composed to shot to capture the light is excellent. I love the bit of bokeh that is in the picture. Please stop by my Climbing the Digital Mountain where I post my photography.

Congrats on 200 posts. I have reached that goal, but slowing down to my resolution to read more. With a Kindle it is easy.

I finished a 10 book series called the CHURCH FROM JESUS TO EUSEBIUS. Very tediuous to read, as Eusebius was more a historian drawing on the the recordings of others in a chronological order. Various translators used archaic words for which definitons are not available in the included Oxford dictionary. However I learned and understand how the Christian believing peoples have ended up in the shape it it is, yet there is a scarlet thread of fedemption throughout it.

Then I finished the 38 chapters Jaen Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I bought the entire works of the Bronte Family,Jane Eyre reminds me of an early English LittlIt pe Orphan Annie..]t has a definite morality strand throughout it

I bought the 1977 revision of the New American Standard of the Bibie and three books by Max Lucado. I have read one three times and starting a 4th timeL Imagine Your Live Without Fear, as I am facing some serious medical decisions. I also started THE GREAT HOUSE OF GOD.I love his books which are not marathons of pages. His best in my humble opinion is NO WONDER THEY CALLED HIM THE SAVIOR, and SIX HOURS ONE FRIDAY.

My blog by purpose shys away from specific politics or religious differences in belief. My Mother, who was a different Protestant faith before marrying my Father once said,'I have come to believe what we do 6 days a week is morn important than the 2-3 hours on Sunday morning!' Many years later i have come to agree with her with the Greek word "ecklesia" IF I spelled it right. We are "called out" 24/7 365 days/yr until the day we are called to eternity.

And I can right some downright ridiculous posts, too.

Again congrats on 200 and hope I am around for your 300th.
