Credit Where It Is Due
Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Awesome! Great composition!
Very different feelings to the two treatments. Very interesting comparison.
Interresting! The last picture also reminds me of new snow melting away on warmer ground. The contrasts creates perhaps a bit more awareness than the softer tones in the first one. Wish you a nice weekend!
Hello Dimple.
Great pictures you show of the forest. Wishing you a good weekend. Hanne Bente / hbt.finus.dk
Beautiful nature photo! Best wishes!
Interesting differences in the two shots! I think my favorite is the first one!
:)
I like the mood too in both of them.
I like #1. It gives me a good feeling of depth. #2 doesn't do anything for me.
They do!
I love the how the leaves look in the first one. Like feathery ferns.
Have a great week-end. :)
The monochrome emphasizes how vertical the tree trunks are or are not.
I love the second especially.
Interesting conversions. The second one almost looks like wintertime.
One image, two versions: a dim one and a bright one.
The first version looks more natural, as it is usually dark in a forest.
I'm in awe here Dimple...can I ask...what kind of camera do you use?
Oh trees are my absolute favourite things and you have only improved their beauty. Well done. B
Connie, and anyone else who may be interested,
I use a Kodak EasyShare M340 camera.
I often wish I could have more control over the focus, as I like to do macro work and the camera doesn't like to focus on what is close, but in general I am happy with it.
