Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Spring Flower Meme Fest
First, for Shadow Shot Sunday and Ruby Tuesday, is this hawthorn tree:
Next, for Mellow Yellow Monday, are daffodils and skunk cabbage:
Skunk cabbage smells terrible, but it is the earliest wildflower to bloom here, and is lovely to look at. Most of the plants are done flowering now, but I found this one still blooming last weekend.
For Blue Monday and Macro Monday I have Grape Hyacinth:
Finally, because it is part of My World and is covered in blossoms, a cherry tree complete with bumble bee:
(Look on the right side of this pic to find the bee.)
Click on any picture to see it better, and follow the links to the various memes and see what others have posted.
Blessings!

A beautiful range of spring flowering colours! I have never heard of a skunk cabbage! Crazy, fun name!
Hello ID! Isn't spring just the best?!! ;-) Have a great Sunday!
The yellow daffodils and the cherry tree flowers - are my favourites because of their delicate colors and shape. I feel joy in my heart just by looking at the pictures of these beautiful flowers.
I, too, sometimes enjoy linking memes in one post. Some people do crossword puzzles; I blog! Great post.
Awesome find. I could smell from here that skunk cabbage. Kidding aside I haven't seen a skunk cabbage is that edible? Happy MYM!

The flowers are so beautiful, I love those blue grape hyacinth, gorgeous color.
Spring is indeed bursting everywhere. Great shots.
Fab Shadow Shots! (Now you have me singing Spring is Busting Out All Over!!) Welcome home. My hubby is here from Phoenix, but when he leaves after Memorial Day you & I'll have to plan a "play date".
Lovely. :)
More paraphrase: " Spring is a many-coloured thing" :-)
All so very pretty...that Hawthorne blossom looks quite similar to crepe myrtle.
GLASS EYE - my link if you'd like to view my macro this week.

Ps....regarding your comment you left for me today, and the oil spill....no, Corpus Christi's side of the Gulf is not affected at all. The ocean's currents go toward Florida away from the Texas coastline.
I love it when the flowers finally start blooming. Beautiful shots!
Beautiful flowers. The best thing about Spring is everything coming alive.
Pretty! Happy Blue Monday.
A perfect post for every meme! I do love the Northwest Spring flowers. Sort of lacking here in SW Florida.
Lovely captures!
Happy Macro Monday!
such pretty flowers and the colors are just amazing! have a good week!
My mellow yellow is here and my RT is here.
You have captured some lovely Spring flowers. They warm your heart.

I've entered a major international photo competition (details are on my blog) and would be most grateful if you'd click through and rate my portfolio (just click on the stars at the bottom (preferably the 5th star - "fantastic" - LOL), easy peasy, no registration or personal details needed). Thanks so much!
The hawthorn tree has beautiful flowers. Mine are white and turn pink...but not as pink (or red) as yours!
I love your flowers for MYM, Blue Monday and Ruby Tuesday! Great shots! I've got separate photos for each of these picture parties.
What a beautiful selection of spring flowers. The hawthorn is beautiful, but the white cherry blossoms certainly take first price.
My grandmother would always say, ugly flowers do not exist. The skunk cabbage was new to me too, stylish lines, but with that name probably best kept outdoors!
hi dimple!
how is it that i have less time since that bernie has retired?
i think that it is because he always wants to be on the go and then when we ARE at home and i am trying to blog, well then he gets into a real talking spree!
anyways, i hope that you will forgive me for staying away for so long...oh..here he goes again.
i like your ruby tuesday blossoms dimple.
the reddest blossoms that we get in welland are the crab apple ones. the cherry blossoms are pretty too, but just a bit lighter shade,
the blossoms go so fast.
today was a real hot day here and i love it!
the hotter the better..you will never cstch bernie and me complaining about the summer sun and heat!
well happy ruby tuesday dimple!god bless you....love terry
nice shots! Happy Blue Monday <3
Beautiful flowers and photos! They are all so pretty!
Grape hyacinth are amongst my faves - so tiny and perfect and BLUE!

great series of flowers. Happy spring and Happy RT!
I am not familiar with the hawthorn tree, but a lovely ruby it is! And it is not just a ruby here, all the flowers are stunning, the Spring is in bloom and you have captured it nicely.
Thanks for the kind words about graduate Allegra?
Wonderful shots!
The Hawthorn tree against the sky is beautiful!
Nice macros.
All the blooms I had have come and gone. ;(
what a funny name, skunk cabbage. Are they the same family as a fruit salad. It's it funny, a cabbage and a salad?
i love the grape hyacinths ... when i was a child they used to cover the ground in a field near where i lived and i've never seen anything like it again.
My Ruby Redness

Spring in all its glory. Pretty!

Just a quick one before I go off to work.
Our fruit salad fruits are edible, not that I eat them. I have a big bush, I didn't dare to try them. The birds eat them. You can buy them in fruit shop. The flower is big, about 10 inches long.
Many splendoured things! Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers.
Great colorful meme.
I'm most impressed by your great photo of the skunk cabbage!
Nice series but my favorite is the skunk cabbage shot. My 87 year old mother would give any of those drivers a run for their money. Fortunately, grandmom McManiac (my son-in-law's) nickname for my mom, turned her car keys over to me. We can all breathe easier and the roads are much safer now. LOL
Thank you for all the beautiful flowers!
Gorgeous blooms. I love all of them
