Credit Where It Is Due
Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

beautiful scenery and i love those benches.....
Wet or dry, after travelling many hours a walk around is great. Lovely shots.
Bench is a great shot. And WOW what a trip. We just completed about 3000 mi round trip and it has taken nigh a month to recover!
Love that long bench! The reflection shadow is great too. Thanks for both benches and for linking my blog. I have not been posting for a few days since I was in a car accident and hope to get back to things realy soon.
The scenery is pretty at the rest stops. I hope it didn't rain too much on your trip.
What a beautiful place! Love that bench too. And the reflections are fantastic. Great shots.
Since you are such a good traveler, come to New Zealand to see the real hobbits. LOL
When the bench is wet, remember not to sit on it,
Thanks for visiting.
Nice subjects Dimple! I like the solitude on these.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Thanks for stopping by yesterday...and, yes, I'm tickled to have accomplished the "link thing"-- thanks for your tutorial! Knowing such a thing will give me lots more freedom for blogging.
Iowa is lovely at this time of the year. May and September are its best months and we'll be here for both...Iowa summer months are generally hotter than Florida summer months. However, the difference is that Iowa summer nights cool down and Florida's do not. Also, we don't like to be in Florida for hurricane season (August-November). Happy to be in Iowa for the summer :) but we'll go back to Florida for the winter. Iowa's winters are brutal.
My entire country is the size of New Jersey, and after 20 years here I can't even begin to conceive of driving 4,000 miles in two weeks!
