Credit Where It Is Due
Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Neat catch! BUT before digital cameras, we didn't think to look at these being subjects to take photos of. Nice going.
A terrific reflection shot! Hope you had your Wellies on.
The title is a very fine reflection of the photo's content. The three-part pool reflecting the other elements made a very nice composition.
It sure does look like spring, Dimple! :)
Wonderful split those reflections in puddles of light pervading the shadows.
You're so creative. I'd have never thought to photograph something this way. Beautiful!
It is unusual and rather eye-catching. Hard to tell where the reflection begins and ends.

Interesting! You have a great eye for great finds!
That's very pretty. Mysterious somehow...
Love the analogy and photo shot. Too often I have missed the reflection in water, when taking a larger photo.
Hope you had your mudders on!
Chances are, I would have been too busy trying to figure out how to get through to see the reflections..........
Very cool!
Looks like you are a little further ahead of me---Friday on my walk I had to turn around because still too much snow. ugh.
The "reflection in three parts" is a very interesting composition. The picture makes us wish to see its complexity and beauty with a free eye.
Our walking routes are similar - I'm pretty muddy by the time I get home. This is a lovely shot - it's good to stop and reflect on the passing scene, and I'm glad you shared it with us.
What I like about your picture is the way the reflection is divided in t(h)ree... :)
Joli triple reflet
Great captures!
Thanks for sharing;o)
