Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.
We didn't get quite as much but YES, we got snow too!
Oh my! It is pretty though. :)
My daughter is Boston is having a California winter!
Oh wow... We are having summer at the moment!
Wow! I haven't seen snow like that in 12 years!!! It will soon melt away and I'm so glad you received the moisture.
It snowed in Oregon, where we stay in the summer -- it almost NEVER snows there and certainly never before in the SPRING! Cyndi (daughter) said they ended up with 8 inches. Weird. Your snow pix are beautiful though.
I haven't seen a sight like this since my childhood years in Romania. I miss the snow and its being a white cover to soil, roofs, cars.
Add to this the fact that white is becoming more and more a favorite color of mine and you can see why I like the above picture.
Good morning Dimple.
Have you gotten so much snow?
We have spring weather here: sun + 15 degrees.
Wishing you a good Sunday.
Hugs Hanne Bente
Freakish weather eh? Last week it was like summer here. This week we're freezing.
This is beautiful, Louise. halfway around the world where I live it is sunny and dry. But just these past days it has been raining.
the black and white effect makes the contrast so dramatic.
This seems like a lot of snow for the end of March! :)

Happy weekend to you! :)
