Credit Where It Is Due

Credit Where It is Due

I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Capturing the Wild Balloon

In my last post I showed you a wild balloon which surprised me while I was walking last week. Today I want to share more of that experience...

Approach carefully so as not to scare it!

It's caught! The ribbon is tangled in the brush...

Please help!

Curious Ginger

What is this thing?

Who cares?!

If you are wondering, I untangled the ribbon and brought the balloon home. It is now tame, and living in my house!

A terrific series of shots! My dog would have been barking furiously if saw anything like that in the forest!

I love this sequence of photos! The curious dog, and the bored cat. Who ever said cats were the more curious species?
I had a feeling you might have taken the balloon home with you. I would have done the same thing. I'm sure pink balloons are easier to tame than red ones, too.

Of course the cat doesn't care! It goes against nature, although the dog is the more curious one here...A wild balloon - we have heard the legend, but not seen one until now! The stealthy photo hunter has made an amazing capture! Love your neighborhood...

Still chuckling here and was so surprised at the end to see a cat that looks just like my Shadow (real name! She haunts my hubby just like a shadow! We named her well!) Fun series of photos!

What fun this series of shots are, as I scrolled down I had to chuckle at your dog and cat checking out what was going on.

What simply fabulous shots!

One could conceivably write quite a story about that particular balloon, or any can or bottle or piece of trash, remnant of clothing, wrapper or what have you. Didn it exist before you got there? After all, since you took it home, the next one by never saw it.
I like the shots, and I love your humble beginning paragraph. You are correct, it's not all about us, is it?

I put in a new link to my blog at Hey Harriet's. I screwed up the first one. Hope you have time to take a look.

Peace

I've heard of horse whisperers and lion tamers, but a wild balloon tamer? Never!

SHADOW, SHADOW

Shadow, shadow drawing near,
You are all alone, I fear;
Let me be your new-found friend—
I’ll stick with you to the end!

Great shots and commentary Dimple. I seem to find a lot of balloons on our farm. I joke that this is where all good balloons come to die. Who knows why. Love Ginger my old dog was a Ginger too.. B

Hello.
I have just come to wish you a good weekend.
Have spoken to my provider of my blog, but can not translate my blog, so I chose to write my English speaking friends blog in Google translate, hoping that it is translated correctly.
