Credit Where It is Due
I like to make photographs, and I enjoy being praised for what I have done. But God teaches a different attitude, one of thankfulness and humility. He pointed that out to me recently. I DO NOT MAKE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ALONE. I didn't create the light, or the technology which makes photography possible. I didn't buy my camera, it was a gift from my husband. I didn't give myself the ability to see through the camera in order to make an image which others find pleasing. It is right to use what I have been given to the best of my ability, but it is wrong to take credit for what I have not done. God made the light, the elements which are used to manufacture the camera, and the world from which these images come. He has given me gifts: people to teach me, eyes to see with, and a brain to process information. I am thankful for these gifts. He deserves all the praise, not I.

Colorful flowers are always beautiful, but these look great in B&W! The only place I'll be seeing these is in the floral shops --it's going to be a long time till Spring comes. have a lovely weekend. Mickie :)
Yes, reflection in water!
It is so unusually mild here that my geraniums and snapdragons are blooming on the windowsills.
Think I found the reflection, but maybe not. Still Mums lend themselves to begging for attention!
Love it. Found it too. I'm just glad we live in a tropical island so we have flowers blooming year round ;-)
Yes, I remember....not so long ago we were seeing these in all of their glory. Now we are awaiting our first snow of the year. Lovely shot. genie
I like this surprisingly much - surprisingly because one would expect colour to be THE thing here . . . but I'm not terribly struck on chrysanthemums so their shapes and nearnesses and farnesses make this (for me) a very attractive photo.
Just lovely!
Good morning Dimple.
Beautiful picture you show as always.
Wishing you a good weekend.
Hugs Hanne Bente ♥
I love B&W photos. have a nice day!
These are beautiful whether in black and white or in colour.
I love the smell of chrysanthemums too.

Nuts in May
I live in a warm climate, so we have all sorts of flowers blooming here all year round.
It's always a delight to see them in the garden and pots. Of course, only in your pictures do I have the opportunity to see them in B/W color.
I've spotted the tiny reflection and enjoyed having a look at it. Thank you.
they're lovely
Stunning flowers! And the monochrome enhances their shapely design!
I wouldn't have seen that reflection if you hadn't pointed it out! I love chrysanthemums, they say 'autumn' to me.
These flowers are lovely, real or not. Flora of wax can be as pretty and arranged as beautifully as possible - our sense of beauty is keyed to the look and style of the arrangement - which is nice here!
Your B&W sense is right on target Dimple. This is a marvelous photo.
A drop of water on a flower petal makes a lovely (although tiny) reflection!
MANY SHADOW-SEEKERS SAY
Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”
Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

Lovely, Dimple. I've been having eye trouble lately, and don't yet know what's causing it, so I can really relate to your header. I've read it before, of course, but today I read it again.
I saw flowers blooming on the west coast of BC, Washington and Oregon recently, but there sure aren't any here in Alberta.
As for the reflection you mentioned, i seem to see some round dots on one petal of the top flower. They look like very small berries. Could that be a reflection or are my sore, blurry eyes imagining things?

I'm not sure I see the reflection, but the shadows are quite nice. Amazing how beautiful flowers can be even in B&W! Lovely!
HOw lovely!
My Shadow. Thank you for supporting the new team of the Shadow Shot. Happy Holidays!
Very lovely...:-)
Hi Louise... this is such a lovely black and white picture of chrysanthemums! Your pictures are always a delight to my heart... oh so sorry I couldn't spot where the reflection is... my eye isn't trained, but maybe you can tell me where it is?
Have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones, dear blog friend.
Love
